Your adventure begins in Moshi, where our English-speaking guide awaits. They’ll drive you to Materuni Village, where you’ll register at the village office and set off on your journey.
Waterfall Exploration:
- A scenic 40-minute walk leads you to the majestic waterfalls. Along the way, your guide shares insights into Chagga culture, village life, and the local flora and fauna.
- The views are awe-inspiring, and if luck favors you, glimpses of Kilimanjaro’s summit await.
- The waterfalls stand tall—more than 80 meters high. The inviting pool at their base beckons for a refreshing swim, so pack your swimwear!
Traditional Chagga Lunch and Banana Beer:
- After soaking in the scenery, return to Materuni village with your guide.
- Here, savor a traditional Chagga lunch, a delightful culinary experience.
- Don’t miss the chance to taste local banana beer—an authentic treat!
Coffee Immersion:
- The coffee experience awaits. Learn about coffee cultivation, drying, roasting, and processing.

- Before bidding farewell and returning to Moshi in the afternoon, savor the coffee you’ve helped create and admire the rainforest views.

Note: This tour can be booked from Moshi with private transport as well as by public transport. We recommend private transport, as public transport is often delayed and occasionally overfilled. The departure can also take place from another place (Arusha, Marangu, Kilimanjaro International Airport etc.), on request we will inform you on the price for the transport.
